I will be writing up some picks for this Tuesday’s 4 game EPL slate on FD, which has late swap now. These plays are designed more for single entries and cash over the large field GPPs. If you are a monthly or season NBA or MLB member, message @xbenjamminx or @dailyrotosharks to get added.
West Brom @ Watford – 2:45 pm
Sunderland @ Leicester – 2:45 pm
Stoke City @ Burnley – 2:45 pm
Everton @ Manchester United – 3 pm
First for those new to FD soccer, Clean Sheets and Saves are vastly important more so that Goal Conceded and Wins are not factored in. Key will be at the bottom for abbreviations.
Joel Robles ($6900): Robles comes in as my favorite keeper. Man Utd has forces tons of keepers to work this year and no Ibrahimovic is back the work will get tougher. They average 17 Shots, 6 SOG, and 13 CC per match this year. All near the top, if not the top, in the EPL. The force a crazy number of saves forced with 5.5 per match but they don’t score at near the clip you would think with all those shot, only 1.50 G/90.
Jordan Pickford ($6900): Pickford is another great pick here. LEI has been on fire lately with 14 goals in last 6 matches including their two UCL matches. Pickford averages 5 Saves on the road this season while LEI is putting 14 Shots and 5 SOGs per90 this season in the EPL
Other Options: de Gea ($6400), Schmeichel ($6500)
Christian Fuchs ($6300): Fuchs is my top defender on this slate. He is a two-way Backer for LEI and has been huge in their recent run with 30 plus FD points in 3 of his last 4 matches
Gareth McAuley ($5900): McAuley had a 3x game earlier this year at his price. He won’t press forward here as a Center Back but he does all the extra stuff on their half of the field and especially in the box. He racked up 9 CL, 3 INTs, and 3 BLK while helping flag Deeney and I look for that trend to continue.
Sebastin Prodl ($5800): I expect Prodl to be low owned here. He isn’t a big offensive threat but he will likely help mark Rondon for WAT. He is cheap and looking to get around 3x return on his price tag. He racked up 10 CL in their last match and WBA will push force and help create those CL, BLK, and INTs in the mid of the field and back third for Prodl.
Other Options: Bruno Martins Indi ($5800), Jose Holebas ($5500), Gareth McAuley ($5900), Matthew Lowton ($5900)
Chris Brunt ($5900): Brunt is a set piece guy, corner guy, and crosser all could lead to CCs or maybe even a set piece goal. He isn’t the safest play but the upside at his price in crazy good. I am steering clear of him at GPPs.
Henrikh Mkhitryan ($7700): MK was a killer last week to a line but I am interested in going back to the well. Ibrahimovic back will take pressure off MK and allow to operate a little more freely. The midfield of this game will decide the winner. I like MK to help control it here and help Man Utd get closer to the Top 4.
Riyad Mahrez ($6500): Mahrez has been another reason for the LEI resurgence lately. He has had straight over 28 FD points. He has 2 G and 8 SOGs over that span. He is an upside midfielder here
Other Options: Marc Albrighton ($6200), Ashley Young ($5700), Ross Barkley ($9800)
Jamie Vardy ($9100): Vardy has been one of the big reasons for the turn around with LEI. In his last four EPL matches he has 4 G, 5 SOGs, and 2 A while averaging 31.5 FD points. SUN is allowing 6 SOG this season and 18 Shots. I like his upside here
Zlatan Ibrhimovic ($11800): Zalatan returns after his suspension. I am not thinking twice on this one…. I am rostering him. Man Utd struggled while he was out with only 4 goals in 4 matches. They are on the outside looking in on the EPL standings and these are 3 pivotal points. That is reasoning another for me plus he takes PKs.
Andre Gray ($7500): Gray has been off his game lately but gets a matchup with STK here to help get him going. STK is allowing 14 Shots and 4.9 SOGs on the season and Gray 18 SOGs on the season, 13th in the EPL. He also takes PKs for Burnley.
Other Options: M’Baye Niang ($7300), Marco Arnautovic ($7500), Troy Deeney ($8300)
TKL – Tackles
CC- Chances Created
SOG – Shots on Goal
INT – Interceptions
W – Win
