I will be writing up some picks for this Wednesday’s 6 Game EPL slate on FD, which has late swap now. These plays are designed more for single entries and cash over the large field GPPs. If you are a monthly or season NBA/MLB member, message @xbenjamminx or @dailyrotosharks to get added.
Tottenham @ Swansea – 2:45 pm
Middlesbrough @ Hull City – 2:45 pm
Crystal Palace @ Southampton – 2:45 pm
West Ham @ Arsenal – 2:45 pm
Man City @ Chelsea – 3 pm
Bournemouth @ Liverpool – 3 pm
First for those new to FD soccer, Clean Sheets and Saves are vastly important more so that Goal Conceded and Wins are not factored in. Key will be at the bottom for abbreviations.
Wayne Hennessey ($6600): Hennessey is a more of a matchup thing for me. He is on the road where keepers are generally busier. SOU isn’t amazing offensively but they do force 3 s per match and have surprisingly forced the 4th most saves in the EPL. They will be without stud striker Gabbiadini here the attack will lack.
Emiliano Martinez ($3600): This is a near free square honestly and injuries are the main reason. Cech is out and Ospina suffered a knock according to FD Summary (full disclosure that is a first for me to hear that). If he starts, I am locking him and having 100% flexibility to roster whoever I want.
Lukasz Fabinski ($6400): Fabinski is in for a long day with the Spurs hosting them. They force 5 S per match at home and he hung 27 FD points last time. I am not expecting that same production but it is not unrealistic.
Other Options: Victor Vlades ($6400)
Dejan Lovren ($5400): I am looking for a cheap defender and there are a few below but Lovern was my choice. I am chasing the defensive peripherals here. Mainly CL which in DEC, he had 12 against them while having some other stats to boost his score.
Alfie Mawson ($6400)/ Federico Fernandez ($5800): I love the SWA defenders. They get the best possible matchup on the board in defender terms. There is no specifics here and choosing which one is splitting hair. Mawson and Olsson (below) have the goal upside on corners and Fernandez will take tons of pressure up the middle.
Other Options: Jan Vertoghen ($5800), Maya Yoshida ($5700), Harry Maguire ($6500), James Collins ($4500), Martin Olsson ($5800)
Christian Eriksen ($10000): Eriksen absolutely dominated the SWA last time with 81.50 FD points. That was highly aided with 2 goals and he does have that upside here again with Kane out. TOT will control possession and should win this one by more than 2 goals.
Kamil Grosicki ($5700): Hull City is a better team when he starts and he proved that last week with 2 assist off the bench. He will take corners occasional for them. MID allows midfields to operate a bit more freely and I will him to get into the 20s here. The assist are his upside but his price is hard to pass up.
Philippe Coutinho ($9500): Coutinho is play based on personnel. LIV will be without Mane and Lallana which lines him up for 90 minutes and he is an elite play. He is still show casing himself for Barca for a possible upcoming transfer and that number is going to raise if his play keeps going well. The matchup is soft here for him.
Other Options: Cesc Fabergas ($8000), Kevin De Bruyne ($8700), Ryan Fraser ($5800), Wilfried Zaha ($6500)
Roberto Firmino ($10900): LIV is top in G, A, Shots, and SOGs while BOU is bottom 4 in G, A, Shots allows and bottom 5 in SOGs. Firmino is by no means safe because others on his team is equally as skilled (Coutinho/Origi) but he has upside even at his steep price tag ion this match. With LIV missing those two above in the Coutinho write up so Origi is mentioned below.
Christian Benteke ($7500): Benteke is a upside price play for me here and his past match against them. SOU had no answer for him in DEC allowing 2 G to him. That match was at home but he still has that potential here. His price allows flexibility to choose other high priced options.
Alexis Sanchez ($12500): Sanchez has a soft spot and this is a play I look to have a bounce back to get his time rolling in the right direction. He dominated them back in DEC with 88 FD points!!! He had a hat trick and the match was at WHU. Now he gets another shot at them at home. Good Luck WHU!
Other Options: Son Heung-Min ($9100), Divock Origi ($8900), Andy Carroll ($8500),, Alexis Sanchez ($12500)
