Raul Alcantara is a risky but valuable play at a salary of 5,800 on FanDuel and 5,600 on DraftKings. Alcantara is facing a Texas Rangers team that has struck out the most in the majors over the month of September. Despite solid games here and there, the Rangers have quietly struck out 265 times in the month of September, 16 more strikeouts than the San Diego Padres who rank 2nd over the same span. Alcantara faces a Texas team that he has seen twice this season. In his first outing against Texas, Alcantara got pummeled for eight earned over 2.0 innings. After most of his season was spent in the minors, Alcantara returned to the big leagues for two starts ( four GP) in the month of September. In these outings Alcantara gathered a 1.42 September ERA over 12.2 IP. In fact, his most recent start was against the Rangers, in this game he went 5.0 innings striking out five batters allowing no earned runs. I’m not expecting 50-58 FD point upside but for his cheap salary, rostering Raul Alcantara allows for flexibility when constructing the rest of your lineup. The Oakland A’s are underdogs at +110 with a 10.5 O/U.
**This is the perfect game to invest in a hedge lineup. Texas has massive strikeout potential but can also take advantage of a pitcher that there seeing for the second time in one week**
Raul Alcantara’s BVP stats vs Texas Rangers:
Other GPP Pitcher(s): Zach Greinke, Matthew Boyd & Jordan Lyles
The Colorado Rockies show impressive BVP stats against Dodgers starter Hyun-Jin Ryu. Although multiple Rockies show impressive BVP’s, four players caught my eye as the perfect four-man stack to start your lineup construction with. These players include: Ian Desmond, Nolan Arenado, Carlos Gonzalez and Charlie Blackmon. I also like Gerardo Parra in certain lineup scenarios. Ian Desmond, Carlos Gonzalez and Charlie Blackmon accounted for knocking in nine of 15 runs against the Miami Marlins Wednesday night. Pairing Colorado’s massive output Wednesday’s night with impressive BVP’s vs. Hyun-Jin Ryu, the Colorado Rockies become a possibly chalky but most likely productive stack. At reasonable salaries on both FanDuel and DraftKings, you should be investing in shares of this Colorado Rockies stack, especially in a batter’s paradise like Coors field. The Colorado Rockies are slight underdogs at +100 with an 11.5 O/U.
Colorado Rockies BVP Stats vs. Hyun-Jin Ryu:
Other GPP Stack(s): Texas (hedge off Alcantra), Philadelphia Phillies & Oakland A’s
Khris Davis is a boom or bust kind of guy by nature but tonight with his impressive BVP stats, I’m leaning more towards boom! Davis has a .500 BA with two doubles and two home runs against Martin Perez in 20 at-bats. Davis has been averaging 14.6 FD points per game over his last six games. The Oakland A’s are underdogs at +110 with a 10.5 O/U.
Other GPP One-Off(s): Nolan Arenado & J.T Realmuto
