Stacks are essential to most DFS players success during MLB season. This article will highlight some promising stacks in prime spots to go off. Stack’em up, Sheet Squad!
Right back at it chalk or not but the Chicago Cubs are my favorite stack. Two words: Ubaldo Jimenez! The Cubs are hot right now and it hitting conditions are good again here. The Cubs have 19 runs so far in this series and most coming via the long ball. Most will target LHH and rightfully so because Jimenez owns a .425 wOBA, .662 SLG, and a lower 14 HRs…gulp! I am not ignoring the RHBs either here because Addison Russell and Willson Contreras are HOT. All Cubs are in play. I think ownership will be down a tad because Baily is pitching vs the Nats but not enough to make them single digits.
WASHINGTON NATIONALS VS HOMER BAILEY! I don’t care if they are chalk or not…They are in Great Amercian Ball Park against one of the worst pitchers in the MLB. I WILL HAVE A FULL STACK. I know everyone will chase Bryce Harper and Daniel Murphy but I have my eye on those RHBs because in a small size this year Bailey has been crushed by them. He owns a .530 wOBA, .769 SLY, and given up 3 HRs. So names like Anthony Rendon, Ryan Zimmerman, and even Matt Weiters. I will chase the spilts here and fade Harper with a risk.
I am going back to the Houston Astros. They were meh last night but the Altuve HR at 5% was highly useful. Kyle Gibson toes the mound and Astros will look to crush this turd. Gibson is terrible vs both sides of the plate; .312 BA, .387 wOBA, .535 SLG, And 9 HRs vs RHB and .323 BA, .403 wOBA, .555 SLG, and 7 HRs. What is not to love? All are in play here; you know the big names like Jose Altuve, George Springer, and Carlos Cortes but I really like Josh Reddick, Marwin Gonzalez, Yuli Gurriel, and Brain McCann. I will stack this tram twice today with top and bottom of order.
Boston Red Sox vs NY Yankees
Last two games I have sold out on the game stack in Baltimore and it have cashed both times easily but today I am chasing narrative. In case you missed it, the Yankees and Red Sox played 16 innings yesterday and now have a double header today. I really think the first game of the this double header is a run fest. I am not a believer in C.C. Sabathia or Rick Porcello here. The managers will ask a lot of their starters here because both pens are taxed afer double digit innings pitched in the first two games here. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a call up or two for either side for a fresh arm. For the Yankees, I am looking at Brett Gardner, Jacoby Ellsbury, Aaron Judge, and Chase Headley. For. The Red Sox, I am looking at Dustin Pedroia, Mookie Betts, Andrew Benintendi, and Sandy Leon.
Good Luck tonight Sheet Squad! Hit me up with any question on my twitter or in the Slack Channel for subs!
