My Favorite MLB Top Stacks Today Friday June 29th
Rangers vs White Sox Dylan Covey
Choo, Odor, Profar, Gallo
Total Cost $12,800
💥Total DFSA Grade 320.2💥
Its nearing 100 degrees today in Texas and the environment for hitting tops the charts tonight because of it. With 2 sub par pitchers, Dylan Covey for the White Sox and Yovani Gallardo for the Rangers this game has Game Stack written all over it. I like the Rangers a bit more than the White Sox however, and I’ll try to explain why below.
Covey enters today’s game allowing a 372 wOBA and 225 ISO to right handed batters, and a 353 wOBA and 184 ISO to left handed batters dating back to the start of the 2017 Season. He throws 6 pitches but he throws his sinker significantly more often than the rest at 63%. He allows a 374 CXwOBA and 38% hard contact on his sinker. The Rangers lineup is full of guys who do serious damage against the sinker.
Rangers vs Sinker
Shin Soo Choo 433/214 +43% HC
Nomar Mazara 417/269 +45% HC
Adrian Beltre 412/232 +38% HC
Rougned Odor 416/287 +42% HC
Joey Gallo 446/371 +54% HC
Any of the 5 guys listed above will be great to stack together tonight. The Rangers should do work tonight vs the sinker heavy Dylan Covey
As you can see all of these Giants do serious damage vs the fastball speed from Chad Battis. I know its not a sexy pick but these guys could give you a huge edge tonight in large field GPP’s and they are the last game on the slate as well, which will surly be under-owned.
The MLB Research Staion is my #1 source for research every single day and is one of the VIP Only tools our members have access to daily. Everything from wOBA and ISO vs the Handedness of today’s starting pitcher, to Average Exit Velocity this tool will cut your daily research time in half. If you’re familiar with Myself and Ben you already know the time we’ve put into the “Sheets” and we’re extremely happy to bring them over here to the DFS Army this year.
Angels vs Orioles David Hess
Calhoun, Uton, Pujols, Valbuena
Total Cost $12,000
💥Total DFSA Grade 330.2💥
Orioles right hander David Hess enters tonight’s game with a 615 XFIP and has been allowing a 328 wOBA and 224 ISO to right right handed hitters, and a 383 wOBA and 230 ISO to left handed hitters this season. Tonight in Baltimore with temperatures in the 90’s these are not good numbers to attack this Angles team with. If you dig deeper, you will see even more things leading to you to want to stack up the Angles as much as possible, as Hess has allowed a 49% fly ball rate along with a 35% hard contact rate to right handed hitters. Against lefties, he’s not much better 47% fly ball rate and 34% hard contact rate. Hess throws 4 pitches, but his most frequent (and his worst) is his fastball which he throws 61% of the time. He allows a whopping 434 wOBA, 454 CXwOBA, 315 ISO and 39% hard contact rate on said fastball.
Angels vs Fastball 90-92
Mike Trout 534/472 +43% HC
Justin Upton 380/484/247 +47% HC
Albert Pujols 429/481/354 +48% HC
Luis Valbuena 424/357 +30% HC
Ian Kinsler 449/420 +42% HC
Martin Maldanado 436/246 +32% HC
I did not list Mike Trout in the 4 “suggested” stack players above, but, I should go without saying tha the’s fully in play any time you’re considering stacking the Angles. He’s the best hitter in the game and the Bryce Harper is better than Mike Trout crows has been pretty quite this year, as Trout is having another monster season while Harper is struggling again. Load up this Angles team as much as you can tonight vs Davis Hess in hot Baltimore.

Other Stacks I love but I am running out of time so I don’t wan to go into too much detail
Reds vs Brewers Chase Anderson
Schebler, Barnhart, Votto, Suarez
Total Cost $14,500
💥Total DFSA Grade 298.2💥
Chase Anderson 5.23 xFIP
vs Right 326 wOBA – 233 ISO – 43% FB – 35% HC
vs Left 302 – 154 ISO – 43% FB – 37% HC
Anderson throws his fastball 90-93 about 40% of the time.
The Reds that hit that speed range the best are Scott, Schebler, Tucker Barnhart, Joey Votto, Eugenio Suarez and Scooter Gennett
Blue Jays vs Tigers Fansisco Liriano
Hernandez, Smoak, Morales, Grichuk
Total Cost $11,300
💥Total DFSA Grade 315.5💥
Liriano enters tonight’s game with a 5.03 xFIP and what really gets him into trouble is his BB%, against right handers it is 12.4% and vs left handers it is 13.8%.
These numbers are very high and can lead to quick blowup outtings when he can’t locate his pitches.
vs Right 328 wOBA – 169 ISO – 36% FB – 37% HC
vs Left 211 wOBA – 120 ISO – 40% FB – 22% HC
The right handers are clearly the target here against Liriano, as you see he’s dominated left handed batters this year and throughout his career. Moraeles, Martin have very high CXwOBA’s heading into tonight’s game so they’ve been hitting the ball very well and just not seeing great results. Mix and Match some Jays right hander with your other stacks tonight against Lirirano.
Mariners – Cruz, Seager, Healy, Zunino
Indians – Lindor, Ramirez, Encarnacion, Alonso
