DraftKings Top Plays 11/27/2016
Jordan Clarkson ($5900)
What’s not to love about Jordan Clarkson tonight? With D’angelo Russell out he will see big minutes in a game that Vegas thinks will be high scoring and close. The matchup is great too with the Hawks allowing the fifth most fantasy points to PGs. Clarkson is also at home where he averages 7.3 more DKppg than he does away from the Staples Center.
Matthew Dellavedova ($4100)
Dellavedova is quietly having a very nice year for the Bucks. He has fallen into favor with coach Jason Kidd who has given Delly consistent minutes all year. He’s reached or exceeded value in 4 of his last 5 games and at $4100 he has a good chance to keep that trend going tonight against the Magic. Delly is SG eligible on DK as well and with the Greek Freak being the real PG on the Bucks, he gets bumped to SG where the Bucks rank at the bottom of the league in fantasy points against.
C.J. McCollum ($7500)
McCollum is a little pricier than I’d like, but I’m willing to pay up for exposure to the juiciest game on the slate that boasts an implied point total of 223 with just a miniscule 2.5 point spread. McCollum is also going against the Beard and his elite lack of defense. If you’d like proof please navigate to YouTube and consult the many Harden-bad-defense compilations. Lillard will be guarded by Patrick Beverley who is a good defender so McCollum should see his fair share of scoring opportunities tonight.
Evan Fournier ($5200)
Fournier has limited upside, but is a pretty safe play at home against the Bucks who are bad at defending opposing SGs. Fournier’s minutes are the highest on the team and he is tied with Vucevic for the highest USG% among starters. Many will pass on Fournier tonight with the low implied point total, but Vegas has the spread at just 1 point so OT is not out of the question.
Rudy Gay ($6800)
You’ll definitely want some exposure to the BRK/SAC game tonight as it is the second highest implied point total on the slate. One way to get that exposure: go Gay. Everyone will be on Boogie, but if you draft Rudy you’ll be able to save over $3000. Gay has a great matchup against the Nets tonight who rank in the bottom half of the league against SFs. He’s hit value in 2 of his last 3 games and has been better this year in away games. In home games Gay is averaging 33.1 DKppg versus 39.1 DKppg on the road.
Thabo Sefolosha ($3800)
Thabo is s GPP punt play who has exceeded value in his last two games. His minutes have been consistently in the mid 20s and for a guy under $4K I’m interested. Thabo gets a lot of his points off his defense and the Lakers average 15.5 turnovers per game. The Lakers are terrible in DvP against SFs as well so he gets a bump there as well. He only needs 19 points to hit value tonight.
Paul Millsap ($7300)
Millsap is coming off a disappointing performance against the Jazz where he shot just 36% from the field and only tallied 23.25 DK points. Pretty much the entire Hawks team forgot how to hit layups so this game was definitely an outlier. Millsap is an All-Star and I think this screams bounce back game for him. The Lakers are the 5th worst team against PFs so expect Millsap to have a monster game.
Trevor Booker ($5500)
Booker has been a beast for the Nets this season. He has met or exceeded value in 4 of his last 5 games and should have no problem doing it again against a Kings team that ranks 3rd to last in the league against opposing PFs. At only $5500 Booker is an excellent way to get exposure to this game as well that has a high implied point total and tight spread.
Dwight Howard ($7400)
Narrative street play here against his old team, the Los Angeles Lakers. Like Millsap, Howard is coming off a horrible game against the Jazz. It was an absolute dud that leaves me thinking it can only get better from here. Brooklyn allows the most rebounds per game to opponents in the the NBA so Howard could be in for an easy double-double tonight (maybe even a 20-20). The Lakers aren’t great at defending Centers either so even more reason to believe Howard is a solid play tonight.
Kosta Koufos ($3000)
I wrote Koufos up a few weeks ago and he burned me. This time I am looking for some Koufos redemption and at minimum price on DK he is a very low risk option to free up space for the higher priced studs. Brooklyn ranks firtst in giving up fantasy points to Centers and in rebounds allowed to opponents so I’m hoping Koufos gets wind of this and racks up some boards. His minutes are concerning so he is nothing but a GPP punt, but over his last 3 games he is averaging close to a fantasy point per minute.
