Cash Game Plays by Glen Flores @GlenFlores4
As we start off week 3 of the season I hope everyone had a profitable week 2. This week’s games should be exciting one as well. We have a home game in a dome on turf for two high passing percentage teams in the Saints and Falcons. This game may have the highest point totals for the week, but I will give some other cash plays run with as well. As always if you have questions you can ask me on Twitter @glenflores4. Now lets jump into week 3’s Fanduel cash game plays.
NO vs. ATL $9,000- Look for Brees to have a bounce back game from week two. He has home and away splits like no other QB. With that being said he is at home on Monday Night Football against a Falcons passing defense that gives up the third most fantasy points to the QB position with 25.75 points on average per game. Brees is your top high priced option.
SD vs. IND $8,000- Rivers gets a favorable match up this week versus the Colts and a banged up Defense. Rivers and Benjamin connected up 6 times for 2 TDs. And with rookie receiver Tryrell Williams for 61 yards and TD, it’s looking like this offense won’t be missing a step with the two high profile injuries. The Colts give up 19.58 fantsy points to QB’s and 303 passing yards on average to opposing Quarterbacks.
MIA vs. CLE $7,000- Tannehill gets the Browns this week. With Browns being a mess at QB I worry a bit about a blowout in this games and Miami turning to the running game. Wait … there is no solid running game threat with Miami with Foster going down with a injury. Browns defense gives up an average of 2 TDs per game this year and 18.7 Fanduel points. Tannehill is a solid cash game play.
DAL vs. CHI $7,100- The injury bug hit the Bears like a plague. They got hit on both sides of the ball but the defense got the worst of it last week with five starters get hurt. Dak is showed a flash last week that he is getting the hang of the NFL game. What better team to match up against too build upon that then face the Bears who allowed on average of a touchdown and a half to Quarterbacks and 210.50 passing yards per game.
ARZ vs. BUF $8,400- Johnson is a threat both on the ground and in the air. He will be facing a Bills team that is ranked 9th vs. the run. In two games they average 1.5 rushing TDs per game, and an average of 6.5 catches to running backs per game. With a point total 25.25 I can see the trio of Palmer, Johnson, and Fitzgerald, running away with this game.
DAL vs. CHI $8,100- What a match up for the rookie. As I mentioned with Prescott the Bears are hurting bad with all the injuries. Elliot gets a Bears run defense that gives up close to 20 Fanduel points to running backs. And an average of one TD per game to running backs that they face. Elliot has rush an average of 20.5 times in the first two games of the season. To cap that off he has scored a rushing TD in both games.
NYJ vs. KC $7,500- Forte proved last week that he is still a work horse with 30 carries last week and 3 TDs. vs. the Bills. With a long rest playing last week Thursday he should have no problem with a Chiefs defense that is ranked 5th most Fanduel points to running backs. Today the OC for the Jets said its too early to worry about Forte’s workload. Lock him in for 20 plus carries for this weekend.
SD vs. IND $7,100- If you pay any attention to DFS talk this week then you know he is chalk. Remember its ok to be chalk in cash games. With the injuries to Woodhead and Allen look for Gordon to be a part of not just the running game but the passing game out of the backfield. He faces a Colts defense that has been hit with the injury bug as well. The Colts Defense is ranked first in Fanduel points allowed to running backs. On average in the first two game 118 rushing yards, 1.5 rushing TD’s, 7.5 catches, one receiving TD for backs, and an average of 38.30 Fanduel points.
IND vs. SD $5700- Gore is play opposite of Gordon but his match up is solid this week. The Colts OL is among the best in the NFL, with that being said Frank is at home under a dome on turf that should help his speed. The Chargers don’t fair well vs. the run. They give up the 6th most Fanduel points to running backs. He is a value pick to help pay up at QB.
ATL vs. NO $9,300- Jones has one of the best match ups this week for receivers facing the Saint’s Sterling Moore. Not only is there a height advantage for Jones but a talent advantage as well. Julio is coming off a week where he had 5 targets for 5 catches for a 106 yards last week vs. the Raiders. I have to mention he has scored a touchdown in both games to start out the season. Saints give an average of 39.60 Fanduel points to receivers along with 268.50 receiving yards.
JAC vs. BAL $7900- Before you shake your head at this pick, Robinson had tough CB match ups the first to weeks of the season. Look for him to bounce back against a Ravens pass defense that got touched up for 2 TDs from Cleveland’s Coleman last week. I can see the Ravens getting a head and Brotles and Robinson do what the do best garbage time stats.
ARZ vs. BUF $7,600- Larry has made the slot receiver look easy and good the past year plus. With no signs of slowing down he has had 10 targets in the first two games each along with 3 receiving touchdowns this season already he gets a match-up vs. the Bills who give up the 3rd most Fanduel points to receivers this year. The Bills give an average of on receiving TD per game to receivers along with a 40.60 Fanduel points.
MIN vs. CAR $6,400- Diggs is a bright spot in the Viking Offense this season. With an average of 10 targets the first two games. With Mike Wallace gone there is truly no there viable receiver on the Vikings. Last week alone he had 182 receiving yards. It’s not an ideal match up against the Panthers but still a solid one.
TEN vs. OAK $5,800- Sharpe is a great value play this week vs. the Raiders. They are the gift that keeps on giving to receivers. Raiders give up on average the first to weeks 52.50 Fanduel points to receivers and 2.5 TDs per game. He and Delanie Walker are in amazing spots this week.
WAS vs. NYG $7,500- Reed has been seeing the majority of the targets in the Redskins offense. With Cousins not off to a good start and being called out by his team mates expect that there will be more passing and a lion’s share of them to Reed who has a solid a solid cash game fantasy point floor.
TEN vs. OAK $6,900- He is facing the Raiders who can not defend the pass to save their lives. The Raiders give up the 6th most Fanduel points to TE’s. They average 15.05 Fanduel points to TE’s per game. As well all know Walker is used as a wide receiver most of the time in the Titans offense.
IND vs. SD $6,100- This game is going to be a game to Target for players on both teams. I like the spot Allen is in for this game because with Moncrief out the Colts need height and size around the goal line. Allen has both of those. He did not see the targets I week 2 he saw in week one but it was due to a match up issue. Chargers give up the 5th most Fanduel points to TE’s with a 15.60 per game average. Plus an average of 91 receiving yards per game.
ATL vs NO $5,500- Why Tamme is so cheap is unclear to me. But we will use this to our advantage. He has logged 8 targets per game the first two weeks, and an average of 12.05 Fanduel points. He gives us exposure to the highest projected scoring game of the week. With Jones and Sanu some what hobbled I think he will be a big part of the game plan against the Saints.
SEA vs. SF $5,400- Seattle is playing the 49ers at home. The 49ers offense does not scare me this week with going on the road for the second straight week. It will be loud and the 12 man will be in force.
DEN vs. CIN $4,800- The Broncos were the number one defense last year and have proven the first to weeks that hey have not dropped off on bit. They average 4 sacks per game so far this year. And last week had two DEF TD’s.
MIA vs. CLE $4600- They are playing the BROWNS… Ok the Browns are starting a QB that they themselves said earlier in the preseason is not that good. Vegas listed and gave them the second lowest projected points of the week.
DAL vs. CHI $4600- The Bears as I mentioned earlier of having a injury issues. They are projected to score the 4th lowest points this week.
Without going to in depth this are the kickers I like this week due to match up, weather, and point totals.
Graham Gano-CAR $4,900
Justin Tucker-BAL $4,800
Adam Vinatieri-IND $4,700
Dan Bailey-DAL $4,700
Matt Bryant-ATL 4,600
Wil Lutz-NO $4,500
